PPS - Ping Pong Shooter

February 24th, 2008 by NXTMonger

Hello, I’m NXTMonger, and I would hate to have a post just telling you who I am so here’s one of my projects: It’s called PPS - Ping Pong Shooter. It has a magazine of about seven ping pong balls and can shoot them out quite fast. In the video it’s remote controlled by me.

Can you Guess What I am?

February 22nd, 2008 by snowblader13

This is my newest creation that I am currently working on. (Well actually one out of three that I am. HeHe) This is just the first stage of this project, Because it was a little too late at night to continue it. Like all things it will have to be ripped apart and rebuilt so that it is stronger and can support ALOT more weight. This project will use an NXT for its Propulsion and other functions

I am going to make 2 versions of this for similar yet different purposes.

Judging from the pictures can you guess what I am going to be used for? Like I had stated above there are going to be 2 variations of this used for a similar purpose but different at the same time.

One will be for… And the other for…

Leave a comment for what you will think it will be used for.

I finally Bought Me a Crawler Crane

February 20th, 2008 by Airkraft

I have been meaning to buy myself the crawler crane set (8288) for ages, but Lego discontinued them in the UK at Christmas 2007. However, after spending my £5 Lego voucher in my local Lego shop yesterday, I went to Toys R Us and to my great surprise, they had ONE left in stock. So I bought it.

LEGO set 8288

And I must say, this is one of the best sets I have ever bought (apart from the NXT). It took me about 70 minutes to build, and it spent last night guarding my phone on my desk. Today I will build the second model that can be made from the set, and then tomorrow I will set about sorting out the pieces, so I can use them in my upcoming Mindstorms Models.

New Site TeamNXT.org

February 17th, 2008 by snowblader13

TeamNXT.org is up and running. It like my site, is fairly new and trying to get the word out. So if you are into Lego NXT this is an excellent site to check out as they will have many robots posted there. They have ties to NXTGallery.com where they have a nice collection of many different robots. You can also Post your own robots on the site, and view others that members have created.

Biped

meowmechanic on NXTLOG has created one of the best looking bipeds I’ve ever seen so far. It uses just one NXT set, and can walk forward, turn right, and turn left.

Check it out on NXTLOG here.

How Do You Organize?

February 13th, 2008 by snowblader13

I know that this is a very common topic, but I decided to post how I do it. There are many places that are out there that describe different ways how to go about this…

Video Added to NXT Quad Crawler

February 12th, 2008 by snowblader13

I have just added the video to NXT Quad Crawler. I hope to have the videos to most of my other creations by the end on the month or early Next month.

Here is the Video for NXT Quad Crawler.

NXT Quad Crawler

February 4th, 2008 by snowblader13

I had originally built a Power Functions Version (Found Here) but I had to use the Power Functions parts for another creation, so I incorporated NXT components into it. Doing this was relatively easy because I tried to make the design very modular. The Power Functions turned out to be much more powerful than the NXT motors.

Tri-Clank

January 27th, 2008 by snowblader13

I originally built Brian Davis’s Clankers (Found Here), but I wanted something that could flip on other sides and keep moving. To achieve this i had to add on lengths to all sides to be able to have it large enough to flip over onto other sides. I had to buy 3 more snowmobiles so I would have enough of the tracks to be able to wrap around it. It actually worked extreamly well.
