Current Progress on Challenge #1

Mine went around the course with a LOT of help. When I left it to go on its own, on the second turn it did about 400 degrees and then went off in the wrong direction!

I am going to have 2 sections to my new robot, a back and a front. I've so far only built the back and that turns brilliantly (in fact, a little too well) but I suspect when I put on the front it will have problems.

It would be perfectly fine with me if you changed the course.

I just changed the rules here is what i changed since most seemed to agree

RULES CHANGE!!!

The Course is now going to change! Instead of having your robot turn twice like previously planed, The course is going to be simplified. we are now just going to drive strait for 10 Feet in a strait line.

The robot and load must both start behind the 10 feet mark, and both end past the end mark.

This means that you will have to find something to mark the courses start and end positions. This does not have to be tape but something does have to be on both sides of the robot.

You must include pictures showing the courses lenth and the robot at the start and the end. If you include a video pictures are still required.

To clarify the following:
The robot and load must both start behind the 10 feet mark, and both end past the end mark.

The timer needs to start at point (A) before the robot crosses the line, and the timer must end when the LOAD crosses point (B)

Thanks, this will help a lot. I have this annoying habit of building robots and procrastinating programming them, so I have done nothing to my entry for a few weeks! Now I will have no excuse, so hopefully it will be finished very soon.

I have a problem! I made a program, but it doesn't download because of a, "internal computer driver" error! I did a "repair" to the NXT Software, but it still doesn't work! Augh!

I've built my new one now. I don't know how much itt can pull, and I'd say quite a small amount, but I haven't done tests yet. I hope to start programming today.

Here's a picture:

Well out of the 4 people I am hoping submit an entry 3 have already done so. the list is,
Mini_man176
NXTMonger
and me snowblader13

I believe that ro1000 is entering, Can you confirm that ro1000? All entries must be submitted by the end of the day on Saturday May 31st.

All i have to do is finish my video wich i will do tonight and tomorrow. I just finished Constructing it in LDraw, Wowser that program is alot of work, but worth it in my opinion, in case you ever want to rebuild something it works real well. i will make full directions for it sometime in the future, here is a picture of it after being rendered:

Wow, nice ldraw model! I tried using that software one and it seems less easy to use but much more capable than LDD.
