LEGO.com MINDSTORMS NXTLOG MINDSTORMS NXT NXT Building Challenge

May 2nd, 2008 by snowblader13

NXT NXT…? Are you seeing double? Yes! We are presenting a doubly fun building challenge where you create a robot that uses 2 NXT bricks! We are also giving you double the amount of time to enter this challenge (projects must be entered by June 30, 2008).

The 2 NXT’s can be onboard the robot or the 2 NXT’s can be separate (for example if 1 NXT is used as a remote controller for the 2nd NXT). The NXT’s must communicate with each other.

Don’t have 2 NXT’s? Why not enter the challenge with a friend!

NXTLOG 5000 Winner!!!

March 3rd, 2008 by snowblader13

And the winner of the 5000th NXTLOG entry is: mezzauk and his Creation: Mars Explorer Mk1 with Lander(PF Inc)

His Creation Defiantly deserves #5000 Here is Part of his description go HERE to see more of it.

This is my first NXT project. It is a simple explorer with a PF enabled Lander. The explorer begins by ordering the lander to lowering both sides then the front so it can exit. I had a medium PF motor spare so quickly stuck a small radar/communication tower at the back - it rotates whilst the left, right and front are deployed.

The explorer has all sensors built in but of course only 4 work depending on which program I choose to use. I am working on 3 programs 1st - will use the light, compass, IR distance sensor and Pf Sensors. 2nd - light, compass, IR and ultrasonic sensors and finally Compass, IR, Ultrasonic and Touch.

My main program uses the light sensor to locate the brightest source using the turntable, record the compass heading and use the heading to navigate to the light source…” More

There were also many others that were very nice as well Go check them out HERE.
