NXTLOG 5000 Winner!!!

Monday, March 3rd, 2008 by snowblader13 in Challenges, News

And the winner of the 5000th NXTLOG entry is: mezzauk and his Creation: Mars Explorer Mk1 with Lander(PF Inc)

His Creation Defiantly deserves #5000 Here is Part of his description go HERE to see more of it.

This is my first NXT project. It is a simple explorer with a PF enabled Lander. The explorer begins by ordering the lander to lowering both sides then the front so it can exit. I had a medium PF motor spare so quickly stuck a small radar/communication tower at the back – it rotates whilst the left, right and front are deployed.

The explorer has all sensors built in but of course only 4 work depending on which program I choose to use. I am working on 3 programs 1st – will use the light, compass, IR distance sensor and Pf Sensors. 2nd – light, compass, IR and ultrasonic sensors and finally Compass, IR, Ultrasonic and Touch.

My main program uses the light sensor to locate the brightest source using the turntable, record the compass heading and use the heading to navigate to the light source…” More

There were also many others that were very nice as well Go check them out HERE.

Video Added to Tankenator

Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 by snowblader13 in NXT, Projects

I Have finally got around to making the video for my previous creations. So here is my First Bot Tankenator. As you can see it can go right over a pile of legos with ease. At the end of the video you can see it fall down the stairs, It really didn’t break very much, unlike some of my other creations that had accidents falling down the stairs. OOPS.

Can you Guess What I am?

Friday, February 22nd, 2008 by snowblader13 in NXT, Projects

This is my newest creation that I am currently working on. (Well actually one out of three that I am. HeHe) This is just the first stage of this project, Because it was a little too late at night to continue it. Like all things it will have to be ripped apart and rebuilt so that it is stronger and can support ALOT more weight. This project will use an NXT for its Propulsion and other functions

I am going to make 2 versions of this for similar yet different purposes.

Judging from the pictures can you guess what I am going to be used for? Like I had stated above there are going to be 2 variations of this used for a similar purpose but different at the same time.

One will be for… And the other for…

Leave a comment for what you will think it will be used for.

New Site TeamNXT.org

Sunday, February 17th, 2008 by snowblader13 in NXT

TeamNXT.org is up and running. It like my site, is fairly new and trying to get the word out. So if you are into Lego NXT this is an excellent site to check out as they will have many robots posted there. They have ties to NXTGallery.com where they have a nice collection of many different robots. You can also Post your own robots on the site, and view others that members have created.

I know that this is a very common topic, but I decided to post how I do it. There are many places that are out there that describe different ways how to go about this…
