Maybe some LEGO parts are not as tough as we thought they were. For example, when I was messing around with tribot, trying to make it go as fast as possible, this part simply split in half!

I dunno. My FLL team robot, Frobo (named after Frodo in Lord of the Rings…) was dropped (by me, I’m ashamed to say) onto concrete floor. Only 1 axle broke. Maybe some pieces are suposed to break like that…
They normally don’t break when they’re dropped, this one broke when both sides were turned different ways.
Looks like you are using “Technic Axle Joiner Offset” (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6538b) you may find that “Technic Axle Joiner Inline Smooth” (http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/6538c) is stronger. I seem to recall that at BrickFest 2007, a LEGO employee Indicated that the one reason for making the smooth version was for strength. Oh course that was a while back, and I have slept since then
Can anyone tell me, can I post MY projects here on nxtcentral, or can only CONTRIBUTORS post projects here?
